Our Company
Med Art was founded more than 25 years ago as a medical illustration company providing accurate, yet attractive educational images to physicians, educators, medical device companies and textbook publishers. As our expertise broadened to include other media, Med Art evolved into a marketing communication firm supporting the healthcare industry. Throughout this metamorphosis the core concepts of medical illustration remain: present the most detailed and complex material in the clearest, most strategic manner without sacrificing an aesthetic sensibility.
Our Philosophy
We work with a select few clients. This enables us to concentrate our efforts on you. And, by partnering with other small businesses and freelance talent most qualified for your projects, we keep our overhead low.
Our clients are a diverse group – from multinational corporations that need back-up support during a product launch, to sole proprietors seeking to build a brand. If you believe in the value of what you have to offer the world, contact us – we’ll help you reach your goals.

Her experience has been wide ranging and includes marketing and employee communications – in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, as well as technical writing and editing in the aerospace, IT and medical fields. Today, as owner of Written Word Strategies, Linda provides a variety of communication services and you can often find her playing the part of “eagle eye” editor, pouring over pages of magazines and annual reports.
Having Linda as an editor means that no word is overlooked. From page 2 to page 52, she remembers that a person’s title is different from one page to the next and needs to be clarified. And she always knows whether it is "it’s" or "its." A very valuable asset, indeed!

Dann’s unending creativity comes with the perk of working with a really nice guy. He is generous and patient with his clients, giving them feedback on content and finding cost-effective ways to reach their goals. His spot-on design sense is always evolving, keeping pace with the ever-changing trends in the world of communication. His dedication to meeting deadlines is greatly appreciated – with apologies to his wife who would rather have him at home working on his "honey-do" list.

Greg Hardesty
Greg started his career in journalism at UC Irvine while earning his bachelor’s degree in English Literature. And if that wasn’t enough, he also served as editor of the student newspaper. Two decades later, he covers general news, courts and business for the Orange County Register and works as a freelance writer in his spare time.

Prior to his work with the Register, he was a copy editor and page designer for the Glendale News Press and Daily Pilot, as well as a writer for business lifestyle magazines in Orange County. Greg lived in Japan for six years, teaching English conversation and working as copy editor for the Japan Times in Tokyo.
Greg keeps us on our toes with his zany sense of humor. His professionalism is appreciated by our clients. Greg’s writing style can be fun, factual, scientific and yet always seems to capture the humanity of his subjects. We have to keep an eye on his word count (he has so much fun that he can’t stop), but Greg never misses a deadline.

Scott Heidegger

His background includes founding several start-up companies; leading the sales and marketing efforts for internet SaaS offerings and implementing successful online and offline marketing initiatives in ecommerce, travel, healthcare, and Latino/diversity initiatives. Recently, Scott lead the sales and marketing efforts for a medical equipment and solutions company, while working hand-in-hand with senior management to secure the acquisition of the company. Scott keeps his tan fresh and his “easy going” attitude in place with frequent trips to Puerta Vallerta.
Scott is a wonderful addition to the Med Art team. It seems that when things heat up to the point of craziness, Scott gets more relaxed and flexible, evoking a very Zen-like sense of calm. His dedication to our team and clients is amazing.

Scott Windus
Scott Windus grew up surrounded by music and his father’s numerous art projects. He found that photography was a medium that encompassed his love of music, art, science and his knack for math. He began his career taking shots for magazines, music projects and record covers; within a year he had a steady stream of clients.

He loves to take pictures of just about everything, especially people. Scott enjoys meeting his subjects, hearing their stories and working with them to bring a creative vision to life. He finds a way to bring a smile out of everyone!
Scott is, well, picky. Some might say it another way, but we so appreciate having a photographer who is even pickier than we are. No shining forehead, off-center tie or hair out of place goes unnoticed. He is willing to shoot from a ladder, lay on the ground, or do just about anything to get the right shot. His retouching skills are legendary, especially among women of a certain age who prefer not to see imperfections reproduced in print or on the web.

Unfortunately, shortly after opening her own business, it was apparent that her life had it’s own plan. Kim’s world turned from overseeing employees to managing a family and the complex medical needs of her newborn son.
In 2007, determined to tell the story of her son’s medical complications, her husband’s dramatic hospital visits and maintaining normalcy through it all, Kim started her freelance writing career. Today, she writes about other families whose lives have been touched by the medical community.
Kim brings her positive energy to every assignment. Her compassion and empathetic nature allow her to create a bond with the subjects she writes about, drawing the reader into the world through her eyes.
Donna Queza
As a kid, Donna loved meeting new people, bossing them around and getting them to see things her way. With a few life lessons from mom and dad and years of school to set her straight, she rebranded her offering and found out that “bossy” can evolve quite nicely into “marketing and public relations.”
While earning her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from California State University, Long Beach, Donna gained work experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. From there, she transitioned into marketing communications, loving the opportunity it offered for her to be both a data geek and a creative thinker. Nowhere was that left-brain/right-brain connectivity better utilized than online.
Today, Donna is a Marketing Optimist, running her own consultancy to help companies optimize their online communications and engage consumers through strategic Internet marketing. She still loves meeting new people and can, on occasion, be heard bossing her husband around!
It’s true – she is bossy! But that’s OK, because most of the time she’s right. She is adept at moving between the left and right sides of her brain – analyzing client’s needs and creating solutions to reach their goals. I’m grateful that Med Art’s clients enjoy working with Donna as much as I do, despite her bossiness.
